Weekly Newsletter

​A weekly newsletter will be emailed to you every Thursday to give you information about the upcoming week. The newsletter will include information about what the students are learning, announcements, reminders, and the schedule. The link can also be found on our classroom Schoology page.
​
Lunch
​
A menu will be sent home at the beginning of the month. If you send in money for your child's cafeteria account, please make sure you put the money in a closed envelope with your child's name, Room 211, and Mrs. Walker written on the envelope. You can also pay online using My School Bucks.

Snack
​​
We will have a time for snack every day in the afternoon. If your child wishes to bring in a snack, please send in something that is small and easy to manage. Students may also bring in a water bottle to leave on their desks throughout the day, but please fill it with water only in case of spills.
​
Take-Home Folder​
Please check your child’s take-home folder every day he or she comes home from school. Homework, work completed in class, and papers from the school will be inside the folder. Tests and formal writing assignments will also be sent home in the take-home folder. Please review the tests with your child, sign them, and return them in the folder. If you have any questions about the tests you can write a note on the tests or contact me directly.
Birthday Celebrations
This year, students will not be able to bring in any food or non-edible treats. Students will also be able to choose an item from our birthday checklist on their birthday to celebrate at school.
Changes in Dismissal
If you have any changes in dismissal please send a note in with your child. Feel free to send me an email in addition to the note. If something comes up during the day, please contact the office about the dismissal change. If the school is not notified by a parent or guardian it will be assumed that your child will go home in his or her usual way.
